• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Special Thanks

Thinks out loud
To those who will be the next batch of real world testers - model year 2014. Without doubt your investment and input will be appreciated by all.

 :doorag:

:agree::clap::clap::thumbup: Can't wait to hear the reviews! Here is hoping you all have the best of experiences!:ohyea:

Have to agree..!!

Bob
:agree: someone has to do it but this one is far from dirty..!! :roflblack::roflblack: enjoy and give the keyboard a rest

Bob Denman and I were pioneers back in 2010 when we bought the first year RT and I was a pioneer again this year when I bought the 2013 so why not do it again with the 2014. :roflblack: I really like even numbers better than odd so I'd bet that the 2014 is going to be a great model year for me!

Not that I really want to wish any bad luck on anyone but I hope it has some annoying issues and at least 1 recall so I will feel better about my 2013:yikes: :joke:

I'm sure you won't be totally disappointed:roflblack: something is bound to go wrong

If I take a swat from Lamont for this; I'll have earned it...
If I go missing; at least you'll know why!
But I DO kind of wish that I hadn't been put in a situation where that needed to be said... :banghead:

I too wish you all allot of luck. Recent track records on these requires a leap of faith and I find it unfortunate that owners have to end up doing all the "real world" testing, research and development and usually at their own expense while BRP reaps the benefits. It's why I went with a new 2012 left over instead of the '13 after reading all the issues that started popping up very shortly after it's release. Not to mention I had bought a new ST Limited and had to experience some of those issues before finally trading it in on the '12 RT after just 2 months.

But hey, lets look on the bright side. BRP should have it all sorted out by 2016 after people like Lamont and SpyderPops and SmoothSpyder and BajaRon and Baker and Elka and Outlaw-ROLO and Ultimate and Corbin and PITBULL just to name a couple do the work and discover new solutions to the inevitable problems and inspire even more new Entrepreneurs to make the CAN AM Spyders the best riding machines on the planet.

Then I'd guess that in 2018, they all get to do it aaaalllll over again...... YAY!!!:clap::roflblack::2excited:

:crackpipe:
Not cool. Even in jest. :lecturef_smilie:

Not sure the definition

 Wishing bad luck on somebody for buying a new bike??
I'm gonna get clipped for saying this...
YOu're a real prick! :gaah:

for PRICK...but Magdave definitely lives with a glass 1/2 full .. sad way to live IMHO .. I truly wish him well in his misery .. it can't just be related to the Spyder only .. but like everything in life things can be different if an individual makes that choice and then searches out and applies the solution whether it is Spyder related or ANYTHING/ANYWHERE else...so for him I  and will stop reading Magdave posts..

I was also a pioneer on new models. I purchased a 2008 and had the second one to hit Alaska. Also a Premier Edition 2010 RT-S. I spoke about these in another thread yesterday. Never had any more than piddle problems with either. Still driving the 2010 (35,000 miles). Would not have any problem purchasing the new 2014 either. I guess I should not have replied the way I did in the second post of this thread.

It seems hard to say something these days without getting in trouble or offending someone.
