• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A sad day...put Spyder into winter storage - ugh....

Guess the next blog is who makes snow tires and chains that fit.

Saw this pic last year...not found one for the Spyder yet! Chains, snow plow blade, and salt spreader....what more could you ask for??

Here in my part of Cali we ryde year round. I just broke out the jacket with liner and will be wearing the gauntlet gloves in another month or so...otherwise I keep on keeping on.
I have to admit that in the winter I do miss the heated handgrips on the '13 ST-L, but I just keep telling myself that real men don't need heated grips <wink>.

I feel your pain!
Cleaned mine up and tucked 'er in last weekend.
Not all bad, it's not often we can say we rode into November...
Here's hoping it's a short & mild winter!

Winter Idea

Perhaps BRP can make Ski Attachements for the Spyder.. then you folks with the solid rain problems could still scooter around?? J/K I can definitely understand grumbling about not being able to ryde.

BRP does have the product....it's call a ski-doo.............I think I need to move south as I like the warm temps all year around (I'm obviously misplaced in Minnesnowta)!

Sad Sad Day

Sad day indeed Jim. I am just glad that I do not live in the cold part of the state known as Woodberry :roflblack:

Trying to decide if Kathy and I want to ride up to Mora on Saturday to try on new helmets or take the car. Kathy said she did not know if she wanted to be that cold for that long(4 hour round trip). Forecast is for rain and a high of 38 so she may have a point.
I may just follow your lead and clean it tomorrow night and park it for the winter:gaah:

Here's what I'll be "using" instead of the Spyder in the next few months....some of you in the southern states may not know what it is? :opps:

This is a 1983 Honda HS50 snowblower (purchased it new back in '83)....it has been very reliable and starts on the first pull. :D Yes...I clean and wax it each season along with changing the oil!

Last couple of winters I had put way too many hours of operation on it! :banghead: Hope it's a mild winter this year!

Does it have a "Bump Skid" and was it "Laser Aligned" ?? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
