• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. A question for Drop Tail Trailer owners.

I’m considering buying a 2013 RT Limited and getting rid ofmy bikes. I just recently bought a newtwo-up Drop Tail trailer and wondering if the Spyder fits on it. Looking at the specs, there’s an inchdifference in length.
I’ve noticed a few members have Drop Tail trailers andwondering how the fit is.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the input. My friend Mike (SpyderFun) has a Spyder but he lives across town and I'm waiting for the weather to break to try his on my trailer.

I probably won't have a Spyder by the time Spyderfest rolls around but I might show up on my bike. Think they'll let me in? I'll ask Mike if he wants to take a raod trip.

I'll probably show up on my GW if my wife is not used to the RT by then...

I ALSO JUST BOUGHT A DROPTAIL TRAILER A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. I LOADED THE SPYDER (2012 RT LTD.) ON IT BUT DID NOT HAVE ANY TIE DOWNS AT THE TIME. JUST WANTED TO SEE HOW IT WOULD FIT. WORKS FINE BUT MY BUMP SKID WANTED TO HIT AS I WAS LOADIND AND THE BOTTOM OF THE SPYDER WAS HITTING AS I WAS BACKING OFF. I HAD TO LET SOME PRESSURE OFF THE HYDRAULICS AND ADD A COUPLE OF BOARDS UNDER THE TAILGATE SO THE INCLINE WOULD NOT BE AS BAD. AS SOON AS I DID THIS IT WORKED JUST FINE. WAITING ON MY SET OF MACS TIE DOWNS TO COME IN SO I CAN LOAD UP AND TRY IT OUT. I WILL BE USING IT TO GO TO SPYDERFEST. HOPE TO SEE ALL THERE. STAYING AT THE HILTON GARDENS IN SPRINGFIELD. LOTS OF LUCK WITH YOUR TRAILER.:clap:

He (Mike) sounds like a good guy! LOL

Another thing to think about is we purchased a couple of loading ramps so we don't have to worry about the weight on the ramp and no worry about the Spyder bottoming out. I drive the two front tires on the ramps and the back tire tracks in between.:)
