• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi out there in SpyderLand.

After lurking this site for the last few months, I have registered.

After spending a number of months looking for a Spyder, I finally found one.

It is 2008 GS SE-5.

I am the 3rd owner.

The 1st owner was in Bakersfield, California and put 2000 miles on it.

The 2nd owner was in the Los Angeles, California area and put 2000 miles on it.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, so stay tuned.

PS) Hopefully the photo will come thru; this is the day it arrived.

Hi Jerry!
That's a real Beauty! :congrats:
What made you decide to purchase a Spyder? :dontknow:
:2thumbs:

Hi Bob,

I used to own a 250 Honda crotch-rocket. About 5 yrs ago I just decided that I was aging out and not as quick as I once was. So I sold it. I missed having the wind in my face and being on 'something.' I'd been 'eyeballing' these three-wheelers for some time. So I got more serious, started hanging out here, talked to a number of Spyder owners, etc. I'm sure you know the drill.

So far I've purchased BajaRon's SwayBar, a MadStad adjustable windshield, EasyRiser handlebar risers. Once everything arrives, I'll start wrenching on her.

Stay tuned, film at 11,

Jerry Baumchen

PS) If, in the future, I asked some dumb questions, please just bear with me. 'A dumb question is better than a stupid mistake.'
