• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A new world record. Sort of....

Ok, this morning on the way to work I finally broke 5,000 miles on my Spyder. The world record is how long it took. I picked it up in July 2008 and just crossed 5K this morning. I ride it nearly every day to work but I only live 3.9 miles from work.

On the plus side, it has been garage kept at home and at work so it looks and runs like brand new. I've never had a major problem with it either. (note the liquid sunshine on the windshield)

I read so many stories here about you iron butts going over 25, 50 thousand, I have to hang my head in shame

It's a record, but a dubious one at that. I'm so embarrassed :opps:

:congrats::thumbup: Let tell you something i know some hard core two wheelers,
Who haven't put 3 thousand miles on their trailer queens in over 5 years.
So :congrats:again.

I'm behind you in mileage. But, my excuse is that I took a year off last year due to health reasons. I hope to rectify things this coming season. I've got a few mods to get done to make 2-up ryding better. I'll never by a high miler. But I sure do enjoy the ryding I am able to do.

Just get out there and enjoy every minute in the saddle. It's not a contest. To each his own. Just enjoy!

Congrats on the mileage marker. Time for a pin and a patch!!!

:congrats: & :agree: it's no contest. It's all about the ENJOYMENT you get with every mile you ryde a :spyder: :ohyea:

I agree, 5K is 5K, so congrats on a milestone hit! I am willing to bet that you are smilng that entire 4 mile ride to and from every day, huh? You can't help it! Here's wishing you many, many more care free miles ahead. :2thumbs:

I noticed you haven't gotten the odometer upgrade done yet. I believe once it is done, you lose the tenths of a mile. By the way, congrats.

Congrats on reaching your milestone!

And I am not so sure about losing that 1/10 mile place. Both the hubby and I had the odometer update and we still have our 1/10 mile place.
