• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A milestone for us !

I know this is NOT a big deal for many of you, but for us, it is a fantastic accomplishment, given the limited free time we have had over the last 7 years to accomplish it.:yes: :ohyea::ohyea:

On Sept. 12, 2021, at 1:14PM, the Spyder Odometer turned over to 50,000 miles :clap: :popcorn::roflblack::roflblack:

50K on any mode of transportation that is on the adventurous side is commendable. Since I started riding motorcycles in 1968, I have observed a moment of silence each time I see the next 10K roll up on the odometer. The first time that happened, a friend and I were on Honda CB 350s and at the crest of La Veta Pass in southern Colorado on about August 6th or 7th. I'm pretty sure I got pictures of that but they have long since been misplaced. Now-a-days I still do the moment of silence for the 10Ks and try to do a bit of a photo shoot for the bigger ones like 50K and 100K.

I have now had 46 10K moments, 4 50K and 2 100K photo stops--life with knees in the breeze is good.

The point of all that rhetoric is to say keep up with it all as there will come a time when all you have are photos and memories.

Congrats! for reaching the 50,000 mile milestone on the :spyder2:

I hope someday my :spyder2: will reach the same mile stone, I have the same year, and color as you, but mine is a RTS-SE6 spyder model.

Deanna

Congratulations on achieving your milestone miles!! :congrats: :ohyea:

Doesn't matter that others might've done more, the point is that YOU TWO have achieved a significant milestone for you on your Spyder, and it's something that not all Spyder Ryders get to achieve either - or too many riders of those lesser 2-wheeled jobbies for that matter!

Good on you both, and here's to you seeing more of whatever milestones you set your mind to! :firstplace: :dg1: :riding: & again (only cos I couldn't find the champagne... :opps:)

Good on ya. Now onward and upward. I look forward to hearing about the next 10,000 mi. And thanks for sharing the joyful event with us.

Drivin a Spyder for 14 months now, and just passed the 12500 km mark, Congrats on YOUR ACHIEVED milestone:2thumbs:

Just Moater on, get your knees in the wind, and remember to have fun while doing it....

Lots of SMILES with those MILES, that’s what counts! It doesn’t matter how long it takes as long as the SMILES keep happening! Congrats on turning 50!

:congrats: A feat that not many are able to accomplish.

We have not yet reached it on a single Spyder. 45K has been my tops (on the 2014 RTS).

Way to go. Enjoy!!!

Thanks. History is the same for now. Wouldn't trade the Q's for anything......except I did just get my NEW Quatrac REAR ....to be installed at next annual service this fall :ohyea::thumbup:

2 fronts (Old Q5) still look VERY GOOD !

Congrats on the half century point! Those Cognac critters just keep rolling up the miles. Mine rolled turned over 75K on the first ride day of Spyderquest 2021 going up Whiteface Mountain.

Then you’d better put 30k more on that spyder in the next 2 years and I can say congrats on turning 80! Now if that’s not an insensitive then I don’t know what is :roflblack:

Congrats on all that fun! You've had the same amount as me, since 2 people have enjoyed 50K each! (I'll roll up 100K before I have to buy more gas. And I turned 82 last Saturday.)

So keep on keeping on having more Spyder fun. I plan to!
