• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a show chrome driver backrest from a 2014 rts. It was on the spyder for a week.. Wife didnt like it so much so i wanna sell it. Problem is...i dont have pay pal or any kind of on account. So if someone on this site would want to buy it..how do i handle the payment?.....someone must have an idea...thanks

I know that it might be taking a chance, but I would take a picture of the item boxed up and labeled, and have the buyer take a picture of the certified check or money order. From that point, we will exchange pictures and mail the item the same day. I know it might be risky, but I have done this on a couple of items and both parties have been happy. Good luck with your sale.

I am in IN and need to make a run to Cincinatti in a few weeks.

How much are you asking for it?

How close are you to Cincinnati?

Do you have pictures ?

Well, I would share as much info as possible and trust that it works out. Call me crazy, but I think the Spyder community is generally trustworthy.

All my sales over the years on SL have been handled through a check. I have never got a bad one.

I do wait for the check, deposit it, and then mail the merchandise in question.

SL I would do it on. Facebook...NO

Get a Pay Pal account in minutes- Cost you 0$$$$ and makes online purchases Much Safer!!

PayPal really is very simple to set up and use. I never thought I'd use it either, but it is very convenient, and almost everyone selling anything accepts it. The other suggestion of confirming the check is good prior to mailing your item is safe as well, as long as you both agree to it. But, it still allows someone to screw someone over, where PayPal is an easy safe way to do transactions
