• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Easter Day to remember on the RT

I've had a great visit with my mom and friends and family here in San Diego but it's time to roll. My plan as on today is to ride out in the morning and meet with Fred Rau at his place in Hemet CA. We're going to compare notes on the RT and maybe shoot some videos of what we think about the RT to date. From there I'm taking off to see Mike Corbin about a seat for the RT. From what I've seen on the web it looks like he did a really nice job on it.

I'm going to play it by ear after I leave Hollister CA but depending on the weather and earthquakes I may head north to see my inlaws in Crescent City CA. If I make it that far I may as well head to Grants Pass and visit with a couple of RT owners from SpyderLovers. From there I'll be heading back home for sure.

Today is Easter and I promised my sister I would go to her church in Point Loma. The plan was to meet for a late lunch and then head to her church. I decided to leave a little early and visit my father who passed in 2008 of cancer. His ashes are at the Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma. There were quite a few folks there paying their respects.

I really miss my dad.

A big thanks to all our service men and women.

From there I rode out to the Cabrillo National Monument for a photo op.

What a great day for a ride on the RT.

So I head back to meet my family for lunch at the Chili's near the Sports Arena and we were going to head to church from there. There were ten of us at the table. We all ordered and shortly after getting our food I started to feel a little wooze. It almost felt as if I was drunk or something. Then I noticed the whole room was moving and I wasn't the only one feeling it. It turns out I was right in the middle of a pretty good earthquake and as all earthquakes go you never really know if it's going to get worst or if that was it. It shook so long that I had time to get my iphone out and shoot a video of it. About half the resteraunt left the building and the rest of us just waited it out. Turns out it was a 7.2 quake centered in Baja CA. After I shot the video I called my wife in TN and it was already on the news.

Now I'm from San Diego and I've been through quite a few earthquakes but this one seemed to last a long time. I must say it gave the preacher a little more material when we got to church. I'm glad it wasn't to bad where we were but this video will give you an idea what it's like to be in a earthquake. Looks like my video made it on CNN too. http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-428904

Wow, I hadn't heard the news last evening and just woke up a little after 2:00 a.m. I decided to tune in to the web and had just read about the quake before seeing this post. That was something, glad no more people were injured than what I saw reported.
Seems as though you have managed to have a special Easter despite being away from your wife. God Speed on your trip back home.

Fantastic picutres, looks like it was a great day.... it was nasty weather up this way... cold and rainy.

Keep riding safe and wave at me as you cruise by SF on your way. :)
