• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SO I have looked and looked at the front of my Spyder and I just have never felt that the headlights fit the machine. Being a avid snowmobiler , I remembered test riding the 2009 Skidoo Rev XP and noting the instrument cluster was identical. It uses the same tach / speedo multi function display. I also noted the "pod" is very very similar in dimensions and shape.. Plus brp has a LOT of different sized windshields and side air deflectors for those xp chassis sleds that bolt to the pod. Pricing up the pod it looks like for a few hundred bucks you could do the swap. I'm horrible at photoshop but this is what it should look like. I ordered the parts today, we shall see how it goes...

This might be a cool look. Any chance of a picture journal while you attempt the conversion? It would be interesting to see.

I guess I'm conservative with my Spyder...don't like the rad changes, but, to each their own...ride safely and enjoy...

Hi guys, when I bought the Buell , I placed my Spyder for sale to make sure the Mrs. New I wasn't going to collect too many toys, :shemademe_smilie:
But it seems I mistakenly priced it too high and nobody bought it... ;)
I doubt I ever coulda sold it anyways, i"m kinda attached... So yes I still have it. I ride it about 50% of the time and the Buell the other 50%. Carol actually piles more miles on her Spyder , she likes to ride it to work. My job isn't as Spyder or bike friendly , so I don't ride it to work.
Anyways , the pod will may require a plate be made up to mate to the top of the Spyder I think so I may not start this till October if it will require significant downtime , the pod / lights should be here this week so we will see.
