A Bonus Day

Yesterday was a bonus day - a gift. For SW MI, in early Jan, you start up the snowmobile or go downhill skiing. Rarely do you go out on the Spyder. It was sunny, clear skies, temps in the mid 40's, and a light breeze (and there's no snow). A hundred mile ride on back roads provided a great reminder of what's in-store when the riding season starts in spring. It felt Great!!! Had to share.

Was a similar day here Friday. After work I got to jump on the Spyder and my son fired up his Goldwing and we went for a short ride around town. Roads were a little wet in a few places, but we got our January ride in. Only saw one other bike out even though it was almost 60 and sunny.

It’s beautiful on Long Island today! 46’ish and clouds are breaking. Just got home from my sons basketball game, saw 4 bikes on my way home. Time to gear up and twist the throttle!

First Ryde in 2019

Bonus Day


Yes it was a beautiful day in SW Michigan yesterday, rode over to Sturgis , Mi.; refueled and moseyed on home. Saw six girls on hogs at the Speedway station in Sturgis, all very chic; none with ATGATT, sad; at least they were in the wind.

Too hot to ride....it got over 70 here over the weekend.....it should be a little cooler later this week.

My wife and I were in your area, Custer, last September; a week. We trailered the Spyder and had a great time visiting the sights. The Spyder riding was the best we had experienced. The mountain riding (Needles Highway) was spectacular! I wish we had stayed for two weeks. Got in about 350 miles of riding. We will do this again.

Yup! That is some of the "good" stuff. That was our last lower 48 vacation. Will most likely be going back before to long. :bbq:
