• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This may be interesting, or maybe not - --

The wife and I celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary today - 9/10/2018. (We had planned to take a Gyro Copter ride, but some mechanical problems prevented the ride.) This date is important to us because we celebrated our 25th anniversary on 9/10/2011 - - -

We went to Catalina Island, for the first time, on 9/9/2001. We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary - - -

When we got up early on the morning of 9/11/2001, I went to take some photos. I walked out on the long pier and took some shots of the Casino, boats anchored in the bay, etc.

There was this TV playing in the background at a café on the pier. It sounded like the 'War of the Worlds' radio program from the 30s. I stopped to listen. Then, I asked the café manager what it was. He told me - - -

I ran back to the hotel. Kathy and I turned on the TV just in time to see the second airplane hit the towers.

This happened on Catalina Island, a place I had heard about my whole life. The most tragic event of my lifetime happened while we were on Catalina island for a celebration - - - -

A memory burned into my brain that I will never forget - - -

Never Forget! Saudi Arabia was responsible for 15 of the 19 terrorists!

Regretfully,
Joe T.

Thanks for the requiem. A sad day indeed. Saudi Arabia has been a bad actor in the middle East since at least the 1960s I believe.

I’ve been to the memorial in NY. No way you can leave with dry eyes.

i was on the way to work when it was all unfolding. I remember the next 3 days being eerily quiet for the major area I live in especially not seeing a single plane in the sky.

Remember too we had a lot of intelligence that this was going to happen that went ignored and many of the recommendations that came out of the commission afterwards also did not get implemented. The way we are behaving politically and socially in America right now is doing nothing to enhance our security or make this a better country and both parties own this.
