• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

8 ways to lower the odds of being ticketed when police pull you over

I'm guilty of #5 from time to time. Only because of nervousness.
I've actually unbuckled my seat belt a few times and have been asked if I ever had it on. (Big no no)

8 ways to lower the odds of being ticketed when police pull you over

Reminds me of a seat belt debate I had with a sheriff's deputy last year.

I was driving my Thunderbird with the removable hardtop in place. I passed the radar running officer at the legal speed and he lit up his blues and pulled me over.

"I pulled you over because your seat belt isn't buckled", he informed me.

I showed him that the seat belt was in place over my lap and the shoulder strap was leading back to it's anchor point behind the seat.

"No", he said, "the shoulder harness has to attach to the roof or pillar of the vehicle".

As nicely as I could I explained that the roof was detachable and therefore there was no place to anchor the belt to the roof. He didn't believe me.

"This is a hardtop", he said, "it doesn't retract".

"That's right", I replied, "it comes off completely".

We then debated the design of the car for a bit and I asked him if I could demonstrate how the roof detached. I then got out and released the rear supports for the top and unclipped the front from the top of windshield.

Unbelievably, he wrote me a warning ticket for having an improper seat belt and went back to his cruiser.

Good advice...
But I prefer to just get stopped in the first place. :D
Don't give them a reason to stop you, and all of these hints aren't needed.

Good advice if you are stopped. I try to "stay under the radar." Some of the speed monitors on my stretch of highway have got to know the Yellow Spyder pretty well. I am always cruising by at or about the speed limit--so I always have 5 mph or so to spare. By the time you see them here, it is too late if you are speeding.

Key..!!

to it all is be polite and answer all question offer no excuses...there are none. He may let you off if you follow all the above...

Last time I got pulled over it was just because he wanted to see what I was driving. I think I made a convert out of him before I left.
No ticket or a mention of a ticket ever. Just alot of questions about my Spyder.

That's so true. Being polite regardless of the situation is key.
I've even been let off while flashing my Military I.D. We started swapping stories.
