My F3-S was delivered friday night - 3/4/2015
Another shout out to Haider Saba over at iMOTORSPORTS for an exceptionally pleasant experience of trading in my 08' RS for new F3-S. Highly recommend Haider and iMotorsports.
Surprise to me the F3-S had a full tank of gas and prewired for battery tender - direct from battery into frunk:clap:
Short ride saturday morning to make sure it functioned well and indeed it did.
Today - a multi-stop trip around 150 miles round trip.
This is one awesome Spyder - it didn't take me long to get the hang of the SE6 ( manual clutch motorcycles for past 40+ years) - SE6 rocks. Also wasn't long before I adjusted to the different sound (versus RS) for shifting - at much lower RPMs.
I did feel the belt vibration - it is different from what I had with 08' RS until it was fixed. It is hard to explain - more like a lugging feeling - not severe and not there at lower and higher speeds.
Plan to ride more while weather is good and will check belt tension later - belt alignment looks (eye balled) spot on.
I am 5' 8" (30" inseam), stock handlebars/footpegs: BR windshield + spoiler - it still leaves a little to be desired (need to play with spoiler adjustments and may try adding brackets) - significant wind at speed to body and head. However, it did not bobble my head like without the windshield did. It was 74 degrees today and actually the hard breeze felt good.
I was amazed, when I got into a little stop and go traffic, that the fan turned on at temperature gauge 4 bars and never got above 4 bars - WOW
Thank you BRP/Lamonster plus the many others who contributed and recommended this machine.
I took a chance in buying first year ever produced 08' Spyder - which provided me with 7 wonderful years but I felt it was time to move on to a younger beauty.
Once again I took a chance and purchased first model year for F3-S - I got a feeling that this young beauty will provide me with even more joy now and forever - well maybe forever.
