• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Review: 7 Jurock windshield unboxing/install, initial, & 1st ride impressions

Thanks Stephan. I’m looking at a taller one of these as the stock shield is too low for my 6’7” frame and I get lots of buffeting. The OEM shield crack is interesting. I assume that part of the assembly is done by the dealer. So many of them really don’t take any care whatsoever, which to me is CanAm’s biggest failing.

I'm hoping the flip on the windshield will help with any buffeting. (it did on my Harley) I just hope I get the air flow around my helmet to keep me cool, It's pretty much hot here year round.

Thanks Stephan! You still resemble the fellow in your avatar, but like most of us. our age is starting to show.

I almost promise you that the factory shield was installed with an air wrench. They come in handy when used correctly but most people want to use them all the time.
As a former fleet/shop manager I saw it way too often.

I also am planning on changing mine to one of these but taller and a slight tint with the flip.

I agree on the air tool use, but if this was installed at the factory it should have been a calibrated tool with a max torque value, but we all know that the windshields are installed at the dealer.

Could I go to the dealer and complain, yeah I could but at 7 plus thousand miles a rock could have caused that on the way to the dealer to cuss them out.

I'll salvage that old windshield by drilling small holes at the end of the cracks to keep it from getting any larger.

Time to hit the road and see how I like this stay tuned for a report on that.

Nice to see someone using hand-tools and torque wrench in use.

Looking forward to the ride comparison report.

You may have to update that Parking Only sign next. :D

 Nice review. I have had 7's windshields on four different bikes including the Spyder RT and I won't even look at another brand. They work and the price is nice.

One video review I just watched after watching yours, the guy says the windshield with the flip feature gives some distortion. I'm curious if it's something that will obstruct the view to the point of it being annoying. I was planning on getting the 25" one but that distortion he mentioned concerns me.

that was my follow up video and yes there is a bit of distortion but you have to go out of your way to look through it.
It's a non issue. YYMV.

Thank you. I do like the shield and have had my eye on it for a while now. I'll be ordering it in a couple of weeks.
