622 Trailer Questions

Took delivery of my 622 trailer on Friday, and took a weekend trip right after. I noticed my trailer's back-up lights (the white lights in the cluster) don't work. Am I correct to believe they're designed to function exactly as the bike's do? I also noticed that I need to select "trailer mode" every time I restrart the bike. Is this as it should be? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The RT622 backup lights are not intended to work. They are intended to be an exact match to the light cluster used on the RT. 'Phil', one of our forum members, did modify his to light while in reverse.

I do not know about the 'trailer mode' setting requirements.
