• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

600

My Spyder is at Rice Honda in Rapid City getting it's 600 mile service done. Can't wait to get it home and ride alittle crazy..

I can surely sympathize. Mine is also in the shop for the 600-mile check. And for the last week, we've had perfect riding weather here in Ohio.

Wow!!!!

All my scheduled servicing is free, and reduced parts pricing and zero labor charges through the dealer.

Jason, that is really nice!

When you pick up your Spyder, give Al a warm thanks for helping out a fellow Spyderlover member. Sadly, good dealer stories are few ( on the forum ) and it sounds like he really went the extra mile. See: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13895

When I take my Spyder in for service ( twice now ) I always wait. The 600 and 3K services should only take an hour at most. The dealer ( not one like Al in Rapid City ) did take 3 hours, but it was worth the wait to not have the Spyder off the road and just sitting in their lot. That dealer I took it to, does set appointments, but that does not seem to make much difference. So, I am kind of surprised by all the comments by people who just drop them off and wait a week or so to get them back.

Almost all of my service has been same day. I usually wait and an hour or so later I am riding my spyder out. One time (GPS fix) I had to leave for almost a week and once overnight, but other than that, all my warranty and reg mait. service is ride in and ride out.

I do not recall what the service plan cost. The dealer was supposed to knock out the servicing on Saturday, but it's Monday and still haven't recieved a phone call that it is complete. It was probably done on Saturday, but was too busy at the party. Guess I should call them.
