• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

5 Recalls on my 2013 RSS

Took my spyder in for first service and was informed of 5 Recalls. I won't get my ride back for a week. Anyone else have this problem?

Interesting..!!

Hadn't heard of any on the 2013 RSS's. Be nice if you could find out what they are...:dontknow:

Took my 2013 RT ltd in for its 6K service today. The dealer tells me there's a recall to correct deficient water sealing on both fuse boxes and every wire connection inside the boxes. They're to be coated with "liquid electrical tape". I have an appointment for 5/7 to have the work done (an all day deal). I don't know if this applies to other models.

There have been at least 3 recalls and several bulletins

current recalls are the fuse box covers, resealing the fuse boxes and replacing the screws for the upper drive belt cover and the computer up date which is a bulletin.

Can't remember my last recall half to dig out my paper work

:welcome: Here's to hoping that you get your bike back soon; ready for a season of GREAT riding!
It's better that they find the problem; than having YOU find it!

Sealing Fuse Box

It was only less than an hour to do this bulletin on my 2013 R/T LTD. None of the bulletins were major time consuming!!

A recall involves the NHTSA and is a federal deal. I think a number of people (dealerships included) confuse a manufacturer's service bulletin with a recall.

Recalls (note Toyota and GM) are a very big deal.... service bulletins are probably just as important but don't involve the Feds.

What is sad is that even dealers (which know better, or you think they should), tell customers the same thing "There is a recall...":banghead:
