• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

4th of July close encounter

Good Day to All
I was riding home from work on the 4th and of course the packing of those travelers in a hurry can
be hazardous to those of us exposed. I was rolling around 65 when the car in front of me veered left quickly
I see pieces of tubing (parts of a bike rack) get airborne in front of me. Spyde's handling allowed me to swerve
and miss the pieces. 1/2 mile down the road was the traveler on the side of the road looking at his car wondering
what happened to his bike rack. Just another day on the road in Seattle cellphone ,makeup or coffee holiday travelers
who do not how to attach their property. I love my spyders ability to get out or away from close calls.

I have been conditioned to not follow cars and RVs with bikes hanging off the back, pickups with tools and junk piled in back, etc. Good thing you could avoid being hit by the flying parts. Ride on...

I avoid any one with trailers landscapers and trucks cars with hanging things.
That being said it was a new Honda in front of me no sign of danger until they
hit it with rear tire causing it to fly up no early warning.

You just never know when "stuff" is going to happen. Being ready, helps. We had to dodge a flying life vest two days ago. :yikes:

Me too :agree:

Even in a car, I follow so far back that other vehicles keep filling the gap, and I have to keep dropping further back. Oh well, better safe than sorry... :lecturef_smilie:
