• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

4000 RPM at 55mph??

A little math . . .

If 4000 rpm is 55 MPH -- then 8000 rpm would be 110 MPH.

Red line is 9500. That would be a theoretical 130 MPH -- emphasize theoretical.

The 4000 at 55 seems perfectly normal . . .

Been there --- hit that speed---was a bit too busy watching the road instead of my RPM's......

RPMs at 55

We just went out for a ride and the SOs 09 SE5 turns 4000 at 55. My 08 SM turns 4350. My higher rpm may be due to tire wear.

I couldn't believe it, but I actually hit 110 on mine during the test ride. The salesman from the dealership took the lead on a Yamaha FZR and I figured I needed to keep up. That is until I looked at the speedometer on the two lane country road we were going down. :yikes: :D
