• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3K Maint (might be a dumb ?)

I got my original maintenance/oil change at about 800 miles, so now do I need to get it done again at 3k or 3 thousand miles from 800 (3800)?

:agree:
Get the scheduled maintenance based on the odometer, i.e. 3,000 Mile Maintenance when the odometer reads (around) 3,000.

it can be read that way, but . . . .

Manual says "every 3000" miles, so I'd do it at 3800.

800
5,000
10,000
15,000
20,000
25,000
30,000
35,000
............and so on.
Each interval of Scheduled Periodic Maintenance is based on the odometer, which is calculated on the life/use/adjustment of the items outlined at that point, determined by mileage. The initial inspection is to catch any parts or materials that have some sort of flaw, plus to remove the oil that is 'contaminated' with break-in residue, resulting from initial wear.

If you also figure in performing the recommended oil checks at every 300 miles, it would look like this.

800
1,100
1,400
1,700
2,000
2,300
.......... and so on. I also check my coolant and tire pressure at the 300 mile odometer intervals.

That word "every" in the Periodic Maintenance Schedule is confusing, and you may not agree with the intervals, but they are not cumulative, they are set periods, based on the odometer.
