300 miles on the new 2013 STS

My wife Just spent her first two days riding her new STS. Looks like we have another Spyderlover!
I was riding our RTS the whole time she was on the new little hot rod. I was very nervous about buying
a 2013 model after all the stories about running hot. So far it has not had any sign of heat issues.

Today was a 80 deg day. No boiling gas or gas smell. She said the side panels would get warm but not hot.
The gas cap never even got hot. Only warm.
We ordered the 2014 panels when we picked the Spyder up from the dealer.

All in all She is VERY happy with her new Spyder. She has had a ear to ear grin all weeknd.
I got to ride it home from the dealer. I got to say it is way more fun in the corners than the RTS.
It is definitely not as refined as the 2014 RTS. But I would not want to change it. I had the same
ear to ear grin my wife had all weekend.


Looking forward to a lot more miles of smiles.

circuit yellow awesome. and i have 600 on mine mostly small town stop and go traffic or county road. no heat issues either just fun times. im trying to get my wife to become more than a passenger as well best she will do is turn it on for me lol. she is to nervous to take it on the road

My wife has been riding on the back since we got our first spyder in January. After going on a few spyder club events she got to talking
to the other ladies that had there own spyder's. I think that is what got her to try riding one.

I also love the yellow. I've had no heat issues before and after the recall work was done. Love the bike.
