• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

300 - 600 mile checkup. 2015 RTS SE

My dealer said to bring it in between 300 and 600 miles:banghead:

Hate to say it, but your dealer is mis-informed. See page 56 (of the 2014 manual--2015 should be very similar) concerning break-in service.

A short quote about break-in on the 1330 ACE engine.

"A break-in period of 5000 KM (3000 MI) is required on the vehicle. During the first 300 KM (200 MI) avoid hard braking."

They still...

The 300 and 600 are free and you don't even have to go to the dealer...:roflblack::roflblack: seriously..they are still telling buyers that.. :banghead: but then my salesman said there is no steering lock cause they are to big to steal....:roflblack::roflblack: that might explain it...

Look on page 119 of your operator's guide and you will see that except for the oil and filter change everything is in the "Inspect/Check" category. My 2014 RT-S SE6 cost $255. Even at 3,000 miles the 1330 engine is just getting rolling. As a preventive measure, before anyone goes near the Spyder I suggest you ask how much oil they are going to put in the engine during the change. If the answer is anything other than exactly 5 quarts, be prepared to show them page 125 of the guide and suggest they get their heads out of whatever other bodily orifice it may be residing in. Also, when the oil change has been completed ask them to show you the dipstick on which you will see that with the required 5 quarts the oil is at the Min level because BRP has not changed the dipstick after changing the required oil amount in 2014. The dipstick part number for the two model years is exactly the same -- that is unless they have changed the dip stick and there is a new one where on 5 quarts shows at the Max level in which case please let us know the new part number. Good luck and ride safe.

It must be the sales guy that I heard tell a customer that the Spyder would go 200 mph. :gaah:
