2024 RT Trailer Hitch Harness on back-order - any work arounds?

Hello group, just purchased a 2024 Sea to Sky, what a wonderful ride.
Question, installing the trailer hitch kit I am missing the extra wiring harness (part number 219401295). Called dealer, said it is back-ordered, and they do not have a date when it'll be available. Is there a work around for this? Looks like it might just a positive wire for power. Any help would be appreciated.

Just be aware that lots of things changed on the 2024 Spyders. The wiring harness might be one of those changes. Do your homework before you buy.

Just received a note from my dealer that BRP had finally assigned a part number to the harness. No promise on delivery. I tried wiring in a 5 wire to 4 wire aftermarket converter to no avail.

Would a BRP hitch that is on a 2017 fit a 2024 Sea to Sky?

I have a 2023 Sea to Sky, and I have the BRP hitch that originally was on my 2013 RT LTD, then that went on my 2016 F3 LTD special. Now it is installed on my 23 STS. I don't believe the swing arm changed for 24 and it should fit. I use the plug and play Showchrome auxilary fuse box which has the connections for my trailer. The trailer is a 2013 RT 622 trailer. Everything works fine so far.

Thank you for your insight! What are you doing for GPS? I understand CarPlay doesn't work, I have Android anyway. I'm going to miss my Zumo, I think. I am looking at a 2024 Sea to Sky tomorrow.

I can't help with the Android issue since I'm an iPhone user, but I can tell you that with the latest software update from CAN-AM Apple CarPlay now works fine on my 2024 Sea to Sky.

Before CAN-AM finally delivered the CarPlay update I purchased a Zumo XT and mounted it on my handlbars using an Arkon mount.
And powered it from the USB port in the glove box in front of the handlebars.

I'll be listing my Zumo XT and the Arkon mount for sale in the near future.

So the US Postal Service was extremely efficient for once, and a package I was expecting was delivered this morning at 10:40 am.
Very odd, since mail delivery at my house is usually around 5 pm.

The package was from Arkon, and it was a phone mount I ordered to replace the GPS mount I had previously been using.
The mounting ball was the same size, so I didn't have to remove the old Arkon mount from the handlebars, just swap out the parts above the ball to add the phone mount.
The clamp part is spring loaded, and it takes two hands to pry open enough to insert the phone.
The white cable is the Apple Lightning cable my iPhone plugs into. The other end of the cable is connected to the USB port in the glove box.

I was planning to go for a ride to test CarPlay navigation, but as I was inside getting ready the rain that was predicted to start at 4pm arrived early, so no ride today. And the prediction is rain today and tomorrow, but no rain on Friday, so fingers crossed. :spyder:

FWIW I just recieved a hitch kit (supposedly for a 2024) and it did not have the right harness either. I did find a bulletin from BRP that said they knew about this in May and the solution was to order the other hitch kit (ending in 1295) as the harness would be in there. We will see as I just returned the 0990 kit and ordered the other one. I tried to get them to just send the needed harness but he said they could not do that and sent me a return label. He checked the harness PN and there were none listed in stock. The bulletin explains why they had to make a new harness for the 24 and up models.
