• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2024 RT new issue - music going silent once the bike starts!!

Thank goodness I have the Cardo Packtalk Edge for our helmets. At least that allows us to listen to Apple Music, use Waze and make and take calls.

If ACP was working though, I wouldn't have had to buy a QuadLock phone mount system since I could do it all on the screen (thru voice commands), with my phone safely stashed in the glovebox. NOT happy!!!

Just did the same thing - installed QuadLock so I can get maps/music direct to headset (deleted profiles on the Spyder)

Apple CarPlay (ACP) Update as of 4 June 2024:

I just got a letter from BRP HQ yesterday. Here’s the body of the message:

On behalf of the entire team, thank you for purchasing a new Can-Am. We're excited for you to begin your adventures with your new ride, and we thank you for your purchase.

After releasing the software update for Apple CarPlay, we experienced ongoing technical issues, resulting in you receiving your MY24 Can-Am Spyder without this originally-planned feature.

Although your vehicle is still drivable without Apple CarPlay, we understand the desire to have this feature available now rather than later. While our teams continue to work quickly to make this feature available again, as a token of our appreciation for your patience, you can receive one of the following:

• A B.E.S.T coverage extension for one year (if applicable)
• A $500 Parts, Accessories &Apparel (PA&A) credit

Visit your local BRP-affiliated dealership to redeem the extended coverage or the PA&A credit by December 31, 2024. When you redeem either compensation, you must bring your proof of purchase and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

We will notify you when Apple CarPlay is available and provide more information on how you can get this feature restored to your vehicle via the comfort of your home or at your local dealership.

Thank you again for your purchase and your continued patience. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at 1-888-272-9222.

Sincerely,
BRP Customer Services Department
Dealers, please refer to the Experience Express newsletter you received on May 24, 2024.

Man o' man .. What the hell is wrong with the BRP engineering department :(

All they want is YOUR money! Look at the compensation for no ACP. They are giving you $500. :ohyea: But, are they? :hun: $500 dollars at full retail for accessories. Their cost? maybe $200! nojoke Tom :spyder:

Yep, I got my letter today too. Same as the one posted above. Since I already have the maximum length BEST warranty (5 years) BRP have already said, "Nope, can't piggy back the extra 1-year coverage on!". Well, ****
So that leaves me getting overpriced accessories etc. etc. And it doesn't include installation costs if they're going on the bike.

And we still don't have the fix for the cluster code issues, nor ACP, nor a way to clear codes like the earlier S2S! I am seriously thinking of adding a Carpuride unit, so I get Google Map views while riding, plus AA wireless along with BT helmet to my Sena 50S. I really don't want to stick my expensive Samsung phone on a mount in the heat and the rain...

I have a "work around" that I hope will get me by until the ACP software gets fixed.

I went to Walmart and bought a Dual dash mount 7" touchscreen Apple CarPlay and Android wireless monitor. I know it is not waterproof like the Carpuride, but it was available locally, and so far, it works great. I paired my iPhone to IT as well as to my Cardo Spirit headsets, but not to the RTL. The headsets though are paired to the RTL. The Dual monitor has a built-in FM transmitter that I set to an unused FM frequency. On the RTL's radio app screen, I tuned in to the same frequency. Now I can send music from my iPhone through the CarPlay monitor to the radio app on the RTL and select either the speakers or headset for listening. The only downside so far is riding out of the selected FM range. We are leaving for the Black Hills on Thursday, so I'm about to find out how far we can get before I have to scan for another unused frequency. Also, I hope it doesn't rain.

Sounds good. We hope it don't rain on you too!! Kudos for trying outside the box.

I don't have an iPhone or a 2024 Spyder, but I've seen a similar issue on some friends' bikes. Do you by chance have BRP Go installed on your phone? If so, try uninstalling it and see if you can then get music to play...

"2024 RT new issue - music going silent once the bike starts!!"

It must be BRP's New "Serenity Mode!".

I have the BRP GO app on my phone but have never connected it based on all the bad press I've seen on it and the advice of others. Everything EXCEPT ACP worked fine for the first week or two, but once they pushed out the supposed fix and then pulled it back hours later, everything EXCEPT the Radio is broken.

I've also spoken directly to my dealer's Sales Manager who is contacting BRP (their rep just happens to be stopping by the dealer tomorrow) to get some questions I have about the parts/accessories credit answered. I tried calling the customer support department myself and was told they could not answer my questions and that my Dealer would have to open a case with them if they didn't understand the quidance they'd been given. Some customer service huh?

It's the Sales Manager's understanding that the entire $500 credit must be used all at once at the dealership where the bike was purchased and can only be used for in-stock or orderable BRP/Can Am parts/accessories.

I'll provide an update once I get more info.

My 2024 S2S I got just over a month ago does the same thing intermittently. Sometimes I can’t connect iPhone for sound and only radio, then other times it works. Very frustrating to pay so much money and have so many things not working properly. I have 2 SeaDoos; a SeaDoo boat; a Can Am Outlander Max Limited; a Can Am Maverick Sport XRC; a SkiDoo XRS 850 Renegade; and now a 2024 Spyder. As you might guess from that, I have been a Can Am fan forever. Unfortunately, this Spyder fiasco has now changed my mind and I think my Bombardier/Can Am purchasing days could be over.

I seem to replace one toy every 1-2 years and will now be looking at other manufacturers unless this is figured out and resolved properly and quickly, or Can Am compensates us fairly for this. A 1-year warranty extension or $500 credit does not even come close, not when I could have got a 2023 Spyder for $6k CAD less and no issues. But I went with 2024 Spyder for the Apple CarPlay.

I think fair compensation would be $6-10k CAD or take our 2024’s back at full price and let us buy a 2025 Spyder when they've fixed the issues. It would be nice if they at least came out and said exactly what is wrong; why it's taking so long to fix; and what they're actually doing to fix it. I can’t believe the company I used to love has not been open and transparent about this. Really bad business and it makes me very sad about a company I used to rave about, suggest to others, and had a lot of confidence in.

Same thing happened on my 24 RT. Also you'll likely notice the radio power button is no longer available. My guess is it's a software glitch. Shocking I know!

Well My 24 RT does the same thing, radio going to low level when I shift from reverse to forward.
I did find out you can cause it to happen more often when you turn on the key, rotate the throttle backwards and press the start button before the splash screen comes up.
The spyder will start, and still show the splash screen, and it will not change until you rotate the throttle backwards.
That's bad programming there.
At least I know how to get it working, and can turn on and off the radio, and change levels of the volume.

Now to get the music from my iphone to work would be great.
I read that there is a firmware patch for this, but my dealer has no clue about this patch.
He just checks the BRP forum for info, and nothing was mentioned.

ACP Upgrade went live this morning.

Well, at least the ACP update went live for me this morning in Wisconsin. My Bluetooth functionality is back, but ACP will not work without a paired headset. Most states I ride through don't require a helmet and even if they did, I rarely use Comms, as I ride solo or with my wife, who can just talk to me going down the road. It amazes me that BRP can't seem to get this right.

My apologies, I am a new poster, but I finally had enough like all of you.

My 2021 Sea to Sky was perfect in all ways except one. At the 30,000-mile mark, I started losing power in 6th gear with no possibility of correction per several dealers.

I preordered a 2024 Sea to Sky for the ACP and a few other upgrades. I got the bike back in April, but once I hit 2,000 miles the damn thing refused to go into reverse at least once a day, double shifted into 4th, hard shifted in 6th gear. It would shudder on take-off, and sound like a Model T most other times. The dash sounds like a Cicada or Locust lives in it, or someone tapes a Kazoo somewhere on the bike. A lot of electrical noises at low level speeds. The dealer now has it back indefinitely until everything is fixed and according to them, they can't even start to work on it as the bike thinks the parking brake doesn't exist even though it is on. Essentially, the first thing BRP requires to access the computer on the bike is to have the parking brake on. I am about done with BRP. I love the bikes and how my 2021 worked until that one issue, but seriously.

According to my dealer mechanic, the first 3,000 miles are the worst for the bike. The oil gets all full of crap from a new engine/trans and really gums everything up. They usually have to flush the system and tell the bike to power flush itself, essentially resetting the computer, then it's fine. My 2021 kind of did the same thing.

I had my 24 RTL in for service last week for an oil change and a couple of other things. Had the same issue with my bike. Mechanic hooked up my bike to the computer - No issues, except it showed there were some updates that needed to be done. After the updates, that issue was gone!! Hope this helps!! That screen was a pain in the ***!!!
