My Ryker just hit 3k a month ago when it started making a noise at low rpm. When I would go fast it would stop.
I set up a service appointment and a few weeks later as I drove it into the lot it made a popping sound and turned off. I turned the engine back on and drove 200 ft into the bay parking.
Left it for 2 weeks; they couldn't find out what was going on & I left for vacation. My buddy called me as I was out of the country to say the dealership said the transmission blew. That's crazy at 3k miles! And it was 2 months after warranty expired.
Anyway, they talked to Can Am and they are providing a new transmission, but I have to pay for labor. This sounds odd to me; could I get your guys opinions?
I just got back into country and today I plan to call the dealership to see what's up and I'm thinking about calling Can Am. What should I do or say? No reason for the transmission to blow as I don't ride it rough...
