Hey All.
I need some assistance with a non functioning accessory connection under the right side/throttle body panel. I had my Garmin Zumo XT2 harness and some light aux lights connected, to come on with the key. These items draw approx. 3A of power. Never an issue. Today, I installed a Lamonster Bright Ryder frunk light. I also was going to connected a switched relay switch so I could turn the aux lights off/on at my choice. I got everything connected and all worked fine .. until it didn't. The relay on the switch harness "clicked" and the aux lights went off/on depending on relay movement. It started ticking me off, so I just removed the switch harness and wired direct. The switch harness/relay was a cheap $10 ebay item rated at 10A. Thought that was enough, as the lights only draw 1.5A x 2. Now, after hard wiring everything up, NOTHING works
I checked what I thought were the correct fuses, and nothing was blown. I checked the right side fuse box and looked at the 40A accessory fuse, and it looked fine. Not sure which 10/15/25A fuse to check, as none are listed as accessory. I pulled a few out at random, and all looked good. Everything else all works fine, such as all lights/gauges/windshield/etc. Starts up just fine. Again, all accessories I had connected were rated for a total of 7A. Thinking the glitchy relay popped something somewhere. So .. I played it smart and just stepped away for the time being. Any thoughts/input appreciated. Thx
** PS ** This is my first post with the new set up. How do I STOP the BELLS !!
