2021 RT rear hand grips turned brown - any solutions?

On my 2021 Sea to Sky the rubber end caps on the passenger hand grips have turned brown. I have tried various cleaners and polishes, but nothing turns them back to black for long. Has anyone else had this problem and discovered a solution.

I have read a bunch of threads on here about the discoloring plastic back there. You can prevent it with some ceramic coat when new, but so far no one has ever come up with a very good solution once you have the problem.

:dontknow:....Very interesting to hear. Did anyone check this out with BRP? I wonder if they can help on this problem. Might be worth a try.

I had a thought about the cause..........
sweaty hands and sun screens???

I had similar experiences with the truck inner door handles. It was the sun screen lotions.
No fix so far. .....:thumbup:

Dealer said it was environmental. BS! I showed them a '22 on their floor with the same issue. Not as bad, but it will be...

Never had anyone on the back of the bike and here in the UK excess sun is not an issue either.

Regular applications of Meguiar’s Back to Black have been beneficial for me. For the amount of money that you spend buying these motorcycles you would think that you would get a higher grade of materials but that’s not the case.
