There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2020 spyder ld. Took my spyder in for som other issue. Asked dealer about mirror vibration. Ge said there is a fix by brp. Not official recall. But did fix probram.

I don't know if BRP changed something on the 2021's or maybe just on the Sea to Sky model (which is what I have) but I have zero vibration from my mirrors, don't know if I am just lucky or if BRP fixed the issue with the 2021's???

I have a 2021 RTL and it took about 1000 miles for me to notice them starting to shake while riding. I figured they would just get worse so I did the LaMonster fix. My right one was shaking worse than the left one too.

Checked the mirrors on my 2021 S2S and they are different to the older design. The lower ball fittings have a taper on the neck on the back end where they sit against the wires, also they now sit into a moulded receiver at the ball side locating them tighter until the wires give that is. This means that you cannot fit the LaMonster fix without taking a hacksaw to the mounting bracket.
Alan.

Actually, Shawn Smoaks mentioned this in one of his recent videos. He had a new ‘21 RT, and had to remove the mirrors to make some headlight adjustments. It appears the later ‘21 models have modified pins which eliminates the shaking. I have already bought the Lamonster “fix” for my soon to arrive ‘21 RT, so I’m covered both ways. Unfortunately, Shawn did not say how you determine if you have a “later built” ‘21 or not

My 2021 RTL was built in February 2021. So far absolutely no buzzing or distortion in the mirrors. We ride a lot of really bumpy country lanes, of which many have a lot of cattle guards… some of the guards are not very smooth to cross…others are so smooth you only feel/hear a quick brrrppp.
Actually the smooth ride over bumps is one thing that has been so impressive about my Spyder vs. the Gold Wing trike which I just sold. It was in excellent condition and rode like a cadillac except over some of the bumpy roads… could not compare to the smooth ride of the Spyder over the same roads.

Bought my 2021 RT in August of 2020. Even though they said the mirror issue was fixed, it wasn't on mine. I bought the TAC stabilizer kit from slingmods. No more vibration in my mirrors.

I have a '20 RTL and only my left side mirror vibrates. Doesn't make sense to me to purchase an after market fix that BRP should fix on a $30K machine. The first oil change the dealer tried to fix the mirror but it stills vibrates. I contacted the BRP tech service dept. but they basically told me to contact my dealer to reach out to BRP technical support. Really frustrating that BRP doesn't have a fix for a vibrating mirror. Not for sure what the difference is between the right mirror and the left mirror. I did have a laser alignment and it didn't help with the vibrating mirror.

BRP does indeed have a fix, Rog, and several have had it done by their dealers. Sounds like you might have one of those “not super switched on” dealers :lecturef_smilie: ……the heading of this thread actually mentions that the BRP fix addressed the OP’s issue.

FYI-

Had the dealership do the BRP fix on my vibrating mirrors, it fixed the issue only temporarily, left mirror started vibrating badly again. Purchased LaMonster mirror locks, problem solved. The dealership fix is a ball pin that goes through a wire clip, good in theory but I can see it being an issue down the road. LaMonsters fix is solid threaded steel pins with nuts, that fix will never be an issue down the road.

Bought a new 2021 RT Limited and like my 2010 RT, the mirrors vibrate and cause the view to be obscured!
I used the “magic mirror” magnets to fix the 2010 RT, you had to remove the mirrors to do any kind of work on the bike.
As for the new 2020-21 RT Limited, the mirrors stay attached! But as stated above, mine were very loose and caused the view to be obscured! Ordered the new “Mirror Locks” from LaMonster and took about 30 minutes to fix the issue forever!
Wanted to pass on this great cheap and easy fix to everyone experiencing this problem!

Just purchased from CanAmSpyder Accesories a set of mirror stabilizers. The Ultimate Mirror Stabilizers (2) - For All F3T/F3LTD & RT 2020 and up. They are 3D printed heavy duty plastic. Kinda spendy, just waiting for delivery to install will update once installed and the results.
CASA Home Brand SKU: MIR-STA
USD40.95

Even the new design by BRP are eventually going to get loose. Just buy the hard locks from LaMonster and be done with the problem.
