• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 RT Safety Recall. Not everyone is affected.

Dm/D

Yes, it is the red one. I see it now. (Deep marsala red dark edition) DM/D. Thanks for the info. BTW, checked NHTSA and it shows no unresolved safety recalls on my vehicle. I do have the boot issue on the passenger grips but that is aesthetic. Haven't checked for tie wraps under the seat yet.

This is currently a Safety Bulletin so I would not expect anyone will have their VIN cone up in the mentioned site which is for recalls. Everyone with a 2020 should contact their dealer to find out for sure.

Its an official NHTSA Safety recall. I posted the bulletin in a separate thread with some other documents as well.

And FYI, its essentially all RTs produced up to Feb 18th according to what BRP has told the NHTSA.

So for my spdyer it's:

2020 CAN-AM
RD SPYDER RT LTD 1330 ACE SE6 PM/D

I have the Petrol Metallic/Dark Edition

Do you have the red one? Deep Marsala/ Dark Edition?

I have a Chalk Metallic/Dark and mine says:

2020 Can Am
RD SPYDER RT LTD 1330 ACE SE6
CM/D

My build date was 03/18/2020 and is not affected.

Thanks, just checked and I need to get it fixed. I bought the 2020 Spyder RTL in February.

I just got a call from my dealer to advise me that mine is under the recall and the parts have been ordered. HOWEVER, with the virus shutdown it's unknown when the parts will come in. :cus:

I just got my Spyder back from the dealer Friday after dropping it off Thursday. You guys might want to check the website again. I did and this is what it said after not showing it before:

BRP is conducting a safety recall on the 2020 Can-Am Spyder RT. In emergency braking situations, the support which holds the brake mechanism could break and cause a total loss of braking capacity.
This may increase the risk of a crash.
Authorized BRP dealers will install a bracket to secure the brake mechanism to the rear footrest support, free of charge.
