• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 RT - do I need to remove all side panels to install wiring for hitch?

Sorry, if this has been discussed before, but I an new to the Spyder/Can Am.
Do i need to remove all of the panels on the left side to install the plug and play wiring harness for the hitch? I can't find any videos for the 2020 RTL.
Thanks for any info.

Depends.

If you're installing the 2020 BRP wiring harness for the 2020 RT Limited hitch, you need to remove the whole back end. It's very labor intensive.

If you're installing the 2020 RT Limited wiring harness from https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-trailer-hitch-harness-fits-2018-2020/ , then no. You just need to remove the passenger seat. It's a much easier install.

What wiring harness do you have? Both are plug and play.

Trailer etc in Canada has plug & play harness for 100 bucks. It is like the one mentioned but has short protection built in. It fits all 2018 up F3T, F3L, and all 2018 up RT's. One connection only under passenger seat. Mine works great.

I have done both. The one from the F3 (2019), is super simple. Back seat. 20 minutes. The 2020 RT harness: 2.5-3.5 hours!

I bought mine from canamspyder accessories and here is the picture of where to plug the harness in a 2020 Spyder.
Just thought it might help:
