2020 RT Cruise not working - faulty switch?

Had an issue with my 2020 RT. Cruse would not engage and 10 miles down the road I got VSS error and limp home message as well as a flashing engine icon.
Since I was close to my dealer I headed there. They said that it came up with a brake on message. Since I was not riding the brake - wife was following me and confirmed that my brake lights were not on. They cleared the codes, but told me that the cruse was still not working. They replaced the cruse switch on the handle bars and now everything works again. Have put about 600 miles since without an issue.
I am thinking that the bad switch was sending a brake on message to the computer sending it into limp home mode.

Had similar issue. Was bad brake switch, replaced under warranty.
