• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2018 F3L wolo bad boy horn mounting?

Wife bought this horn from spyder pops because when I’m in front of her I can’t even hear the dinky stock horn. Anyway after I already tried mounting with the instructions we found out it is for pre-2017 bikes. Anyway, surely somebody has successfully mounted one of these. Looking for help before we return it. Thanks

Don’t return it! Use the mounting metal straps from the stock horn. Drill the holes out big enough to pass the bolt through. We clip the zip tie to loosen up the wire. Hang the horn. Remove the plastic from the A arm. Trim the plastic so it fits. Reinstall the plastic. Done! Joe

Sounds like I was trying to put it on the inside of the bracket where the stock one was, sounds like I need to try it on the outside?

IMG_4045.jpg I mounted a Stebel on the LH side of my 2016 F3L. Had to cut away some of the plastic to provide the needed clearance, but its not visible from the outside.

On my 2018 F3 Limited, the Wolo sits in the same position/area as the stock horn, though higher up. There is just enough space for the horn. I made a custom bracket from 1/8" x 1" flat mild steel (with a 45 degree twist) that uses the same mounting holes as the original horn bracket. The photo shows the horn by the R/H chassis arch and inboard of the R/H upper A-arm.

Well I finally got it mounted yesterday, I forgot to get a picture as well. I will get one though. I was able to mount it where the existing horn was, used the L bracket from the original horn and used the aluminum bracket that came with the horn. Had to cut one end off and trim it down some but was able to install it. Thanks for all the feedback from everyone and making me give it another try. My main concern before was it getting in the way of steering or suspension components, but since a lot of you put it there without any issue I went for it, ha.

A little guidance and perseverance made it happen for you. GOOD JOB! Now you've got a horn with... AUTHORITY.

I mouned a pair of OEM GoldWing horns in the cavern behind the grill. They will wake the dead without all the hardware. On >ON MY PAGE click here< I give detailed instructions about mounting and wiring with a simple auto relay.
