• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2018/19 retail prices

Recently took my 2013 RTS in to my local dealer to make an appointment for scheduled maintenance and noticed prices have dropped on some Spyders in their showroom. My question is did BRP cut corners to lower production costs on Can Am Spyders, primarily the RT?

all good

The 2018's they are offering huge discounts to get them sold, the prices on the 2019's were lowered because there will no longer be any rebates is the story I got. The Dealers that I've talked to love the idea of no rebates...

My dealer knows nothing of this tax tariff. Also the 19's seem cheaper at first until you add the missing items the 18's have. I haven't researched this but some one brought up how the F3L now doesn't have floor boards

I believe this is incorrect info. According to the BRP website the 2019 F3L's do have driver and passenger floor boards.
I don't see any difference in features between '18 & '19's.

I definitely don't want to spread misinformation. Just what I've heard from a couple of people here and I FB. They said they did the build a bike in BRP and had to add things. That was just the one item I remember being brought up. Again, I haven't researched this

Meeting with BRP reps on this last Friday I was told that the entire Spyder line for 2019 will be reduced by as much as $3500.00 over the 18 models. Pure and simple, they just can't sell enough at those high prices. Same equipment as 2018, they just need to get to a more attractive price point. Look for some pretty good rebates coming out on the '18 models. Sometimes you just got to bite the bullet!:banghead:

The rebate situation can be bad when they are being offered almost continuously. A mess for the dealers to work with, and buyers are confused as to "real" price.

Rebates put the prices down, but if they are going to be given almost continuously, why not just lower the price and avoid a lot of confusion.

What the market will bear pricing, has never worked IMO anyway.
