• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2016 Spyder RTS Clutch Engagement

I have a question about my new 2016 Spyder RT Limited SE6 and the way that the clutch engages at low speed. With my 2011 Spyder RT SE5, when you just rolled on the gas the clutch would engage and stay engaged until you essentially were off the throttle completely.

With the 2016 machine it needs to keep up the rev's past idle, or the clutch disengages. I notice this mostly when putting it away in the trailer, I need to keep the revs up to keep it engaged or it immediately starts rolling back.

Is this the same way that all the newer 2014/15/16 machines are, or is there something that needs to be adjusted?

Thanks

It's the nature of the new hydraulic engagement system that is being used.
The older centrifugal-style engagement was a bit "smoother", but you HAD to keep your revs up to prevent toasting the clutch plates.
I still haven't gotten fully used to it; but I do like that engine rpms are no longer a concern!

Agree...

:agree: different systems for different engines. You will get used to it .. eventually. .
