• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here's a link to a video of that contraption!

http://videos.komando.com/watch/8337/kims-picks-an-awesome-flying-car-that-could-actually-be-practical

It's obviously been thunk up by some sci-fi game designer. It is so impractical in so many ways!

I know I shouldn't have polluted this thread with the above, but after I found out that ak didn't just fish that pic out of the vapor I couldn't resist!

On the other hand most of the speculation offered up in this thread has been just about as fanciful as this, right? :roflblack:

Colors for the 2016 Spyder ????????????????????

What colors does everyone think that the 2016 RT Spyders will be???????????

I hope the colors will be eye catching.
We will have to wait and see.
Come on Friday 31st. I am curious
Deanna

I would like to see a $3,000-$4,000 Rebate on ALL 2015 Spyder Models so the dealers Don't have to Pay Interest on All the ones that sit in the dealership ALL winter? Less than that and I will keep what I have!:yikes:

How about a true Orange/White combo OR a Turquoise/White combo?

I was at a dealership last week and they were offering a $4K discount on 2015 RTs that were in the upper end of the model line up and $3K in the lower end. RIGHT NOW. A $28K MSRP dropped to $25K still keeps a new one out of reach.

I would think the main attraction is probably going to be a variation of the F3, something along the lines of an F3 Special Edition with unique paint and accents or even an F3 Limited that comes decked-out and factory equipped with the windshield, saddlebags, footboards, chrome, and maybe a stereo. If you want it to appeal to Harley guys at Sturgis, you gotta' throw some chrome on it. They won't call it a "touring" model to step on the toes of the RTs, you will see "Special Edition" or "Limited" badges instead. Just don't think they would go as far as having a "Sturgis Special Edition", but who knows. Maybe they could get somebody like ZZ Top to ride one up on stage, that might open up some eyes?

Past that, think "Spark" like what BRP did with their PWC line-up and the Spark. Drop a 900 ACE into a new-styled RS and we have just "Sparked" the Spyder entry-level buyers. Have to get riders on the brand, maybe at a low-profit sale to begin with, get them addicted and then upsell them. Kind of investing in the future.

My vote would be for an ST with a 1330 ACE engine. We have four distinct riding positions (ergonomics) so those who say the F3 will kill the ST are wrong because the ST is a unique riding position, and the best one out of the four for taller riders. If they come with an ST 1330 I will buy one immediately and max out the warranty.

I keep wondering if they'll drop it right down to the ACE 600? :dontknow:
If they re-task the RS as an entry-level bike; I would think that 60 horsepower would get the job done nicely...
