Started the bike it won't go into reverse forward is ok

On some bike you have to press the R button on top pretty firmly. Make sure that is held down when you press -.

Thank you, newbie Did what you said and it is working fine. Just bought the bike last week and it sat for 4 days given the fact that my memory is only good for 3 days have to re-read the manual

Don't feel bad. When I purchased my first Spyder a 2012 RTS, After the service guy pointed everything out to me about the bike and I was fixing to leave, I didn't know what buttons to push to get the darn started.pps:pps: I had to go back inside and ask them to help me. :banghead::banghead:

Just bought the same model about a month ago. Different beast after owning the 2010 SM5 for sure. It's all good now though. I just have to learn to shut it down in Neutral so that when I wanna restart it next time, I don't have to put my foot on the brake. For some reason that annoys me to have to walk around the other side of the bike if I just wanna fire it up to warm up...:dontknow:
