There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. 2016 RT-S and the BajaRon

Quick questions:

I had a 2011 RT and I added the BajaRon bar and it made a big difference. I now have a 2016 RT-S with the stock bar and about 1500 miles on the clock.

Does the BajaRon bar make as big an improvement on the 2016 as it does on the older RTs? Is it worth the investment now.We do ride 2-up occasionally and I still have the stock shocks.

Thanks for your comments.

Dave

As I understand it, the "underpinnings" from 2014 UP are same -same.
Lot's of folks automatically upgrade the bar. But seriously, your 2016 , mechanically is
so different than your 998, that you ought to ride a few thousand before making the leap.

I have a 2015 RT. I also had a 2011 RT which I had shock relocators, BajaRon sway bar as well as those fancy upgraded adjustable shocks. On my 11 the sway bay was amazing. I do not think the 2015 improved nearly as much as the 11 did.

We did our first group ride yesterday. I'm on the only Spyder in the bunch.

The rider behind me (on a HD) says to me at the lunch stop:

"what did you do to your Spyder over the winter? You're cornering a LOT flatter, and I can see a huge difference in the way your bike sits going straight down a high crowned road"

He had no clue what I had done, knew nothing about the sway bar.

Yeah, I'll say the BajaRon bar was worth it!

I just put a BajaRon sway bar on over the weekend. When I took it for a ride yesterday 2 up I was impressed. I feel planted better on the corners. Drives so much better. Very happy with the improvement. I think a BajaRon sway bar is a must have for any spyder rider.

Here's the thing....

There will always be room for improvement. They have made things better and you really need to ryde and see if you feel the need for more. If you get the chance to ryde a spyder like yours with the BajaRon bar it will clear things up...that famous test ryde....

If you can get the front end up 22", you should have no problem.
it causes no warranty issues, (that's what I've read, I'm no lawyer).
the bar also reduces the wind buffering of passing big rigs.

I agree, the 1330 as delivered from the factory is far superior to the 998. The RonBar on the 998 was essential. ESSENTIAL.
I rode my 1330 alone for several months, the RonBar isn't as big of an improvement on the 1330, but going two up it's still a noticeable improvement.
Go for it.

I can't compare to 998 since I never owned one. But I can tell you that when riding double the BR Sway Bar makes a noticeable difference. I added sway bar and Doc Humphreys spring stiffeners to my stock 2014 RTL and it drives much better and flatter.

Love your Vision Profile Pic

Subdude: I love your Vision profile pic. I also have a Vision. Even though I like my Spyder RT, I can't part with my Vision.

Thank you all for your comments.

Although, it's not as essential as on the 998 someone commented, I think I'll add it to my new RT. On the 998, it made it rock solid going down the road.

I still notice some leaning in the corners and at expressway speeds in a cross breeze, especially 2-up.

Thanks again.
