There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 1330cc 2016 RT Ltd not running good - could it be the MAP sensor? Ideas?

My new to me '16 RT is just that never owned one, idles good, not hesitating, getting about 22 miles per gallon, not much power unless I hit 5000 rpm. Have changed the fuel filter, didn't make any difference; no codes; have run 2 cans of fuel injector cleaner through it; bike has 2,800 miles on it. Any ideas? Would a map sensor throw a code? Thought it might be it.

What fuel injector cleaner did you use? Are you running straight, premium fuel? It could be clogged fuel injectors from sitting so long. We see a fair amount of this at the shop. 22 mpg is quite low unless you're riding it hard. Running it at wide open throttle may help clear it up, if it is injectors. But we've had more luck pulling the injectors and cleaning them.

Old bikes with very low miles can present a number of issues. Mostly minor. They don't do well sitting around.

Thanks Ron, Berryman cleaner, running 93 octane with I guess 10 percent ethanol. No 100 percent gas near me. Changed the air filter also.

Well, you're doing what I would do. Have you done any long distance? I'd run 1/2 can of Berryman's to a full tank of gas a few more times and see if that doesn't help. If it is injector issues. It may take a few heavy doses of cleaner to really make much difference. If it starts to improve, you're probably on the right track. If not, you may have to get more serious.

Does it stumble or have a throttle setting that it doesn't seem to like? Just grasping at straws here.

I guess if none of the above works well you may wish to consider:
Renew the spark plug and leads.
Then onto a possible plan B - the injectors.

No haven't been on any long trips yet.It don't stumble idles good just like it's weak.I will put some more cleaner in it.Thanks Ron

Previous owner provide any service history? Agree with above, & may be no active codes at moment; but BUDS will have a history of whatever the culprit was & also the fuel pressure. If it's New to you, it could use professional once over (& maybe a spare key).

Put the cleaner in it and take a GOOD highway run!!:ohyea: Good Luck! Mine has bobbled like that once, and that cleaned it right out.

Maybe……check air filter box for mouse nest restriction.
Or restriction in exhaust.
Does it get to operating temp…198 degrees?

I'm gonna throw out something a little "out ot the box"; check your exhaust. I have seen situations where a plugged cat or partially collapsed muffler causes similar symtoms. Your engine will be "doggy" until the exhaust pressure increases to a point where it leaks from spring loaded connection between the lead (or head) pipe and the cat, or simply forces it's way through the obstruction; it also explains the crummy gas mileage. The electronics might not catch it as the O2 sensor is near the manifold, and to my knowledge, measures combustion efficiency not pressure or temp.

It's at least worth a look/listen.
