• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2016 F3T or L

Has the problems on the 2015 F3S been resolved on the 2016's? Are there new problems with the 2016 T's or L's for that matter? I have been offered a good deal on a new 2016 F3T, but I do not wish to have to buy another stabilizer/F4 windshield or wind wings. I know that the "T"s have a manual adjust airshock and that they do tend to leak down. The other option is to wait on the 2017's and hope for the best.
Feel free to jump in here with opinions/thoughts/experience. Thanks in advance.

Spyders (mostly) are like computers. As soon as you buy one, the next model year will have something new and/or different.

If you're going to buy one, do your homework, pull the trigger and don't look back. It's just that easy.

When you finally do, you'll be glad you did.

No, because it is a motorcycle, if you don't want to feel the wind or the road, stay in your car!!!

EVERY bike will 'need' accessories to make it 'yours' or more to your liking. There is NOTHING wrong with the F3S as its built by BRP. There are many accessories that are available to make it 'better' or more to your liking. BRP has and will continue to improve the product and include many things the aftermarket has done to improve on their offering. Jump in, the water is GREAT and enjoy the party. Continuing to wait for next year for the next great thing only serves to deny you the fun of riding.

It's all about making it yours. Early on, I had to have every farkle in the book. Making good money at that time, so no problem.

Then had to have newest and latest, so usually bought latest and greatest.

Grew up (kinda) after four in a row. 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. Still have my 2014 and am no longer being tweaked by the call of the :ani29:

The big difference between F3T and L is about $2000 and real chrome as opposed to plastic color chrome. Depends on how much time you want to allocate for polishing.

Currently, not much change between 2016 and 2017. If you are looking at savings, earlier is good.

Dray, I have a 2016 F3L......I set the shock at around 50 on day one, and I have just checked it now and it is still around 50.....but you MIGHT get one that is not as efficient. I am quite happy with manual and not having a compressor that might break down. I check it once a week....takes around a minute.

How can BRP "resolve" the windshield on a new model? Everyone is a different size and shape, so you have to buy a shield that fits your size and shape.

Exactly the same issue applies to the wind wings. If BRP provided wind wings they would suit one person and not another. The wind doesn't bother me, but if I find it eventually does, then I'll buy some wings.

Stabilizer? Do you mean the sway bar? The Spyder is set up to perform perfectly with the current one, and does it well. Some people like the Bajaron and buy it to suit their own riding requirements. I may even do the same.

You can wait for the 2020 model and it will still have some issues that do not suit you. If you want an "automatic" rear shock and extra storage, buy the 17.....but you'll probably still have to buy a screen and wings for yourself.......otherwise, buy the 16.....you'll probably start to find some good deals on it which will well and truly cover the cost of setting up the 16 to suit you perfectly.
