There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2016 F3's improvements

Many changes on the new F3 models F3-T and F3-Limited. Basically the RT with a lower seat. But as far as the F3-S no larger windshield, still vibration, Still bad quality saddlebags.

I've read a number of threads on the vibration issue. We have 2 16 F3 S's on order. Is there anything we can have done at the dealer/ahead of time to have an adjustment made? If we don't have the time, is purchasing a tensioner something most dealers would install?

Cosmetics....

your seldom going to see engine changes. They seldom make them other than the twin to the tripple. If any updated parts or mods are made they will not be publisized. I don't even think they mentioned dropping the 998 from 106 hp to a 100 hp. Don't think they covered the frame change which caused the heat issues on the 13's. What you will see is the color, bags, windshields, seats and eye candy stuff...

I think that the 1330 is pretty flawless. Over 20,000 miles on my 2014 RT-S.

Spoke with a person about vibration issues on the F3. He stated that BRP is working behind the scenes to come up with a specific fix. The person is an owner of an F3 amongst other things.

for me the vibration is very minor and most went away after 2000 miles on the spyder. Lasts a few seconds between 67mph and 70mph. There are several work arounds including

1. Back off on the throttle slightly when you feel the vibration and then increase throttle to move past 70mph

2. You can cruise in 6th gear but Never accelerate between 67mph and 70mph unless you drop down to 5th gear.

3. Some people have purchased and install the belt tensioner. Some with success some not.

CHASING NEW MODELS

WILL HAVE YOU DEAD BROKE!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Just got my Spyder F3 and almost got it to where I want it. Is the 16 nice and pretty, yes! I like the original F3 better. The new one is too much like all three models wrapped in one. Like a patch work leather item. That's just my opinion (DONT WANT TO OFFEND ANYONE). I do like the light in the front of the Frunk. But I can get my light guy to throw an additional strip of lights up there ($15 for the strip and about $20 to install). I must say I may get the Drag Handlebars. They are nice. Permanent lunch boxes :yikes:, I mean saddle bags, not. I am hating the fact of having the Givi Wingracks stay on after installing the Givi, Whole Family Picnic sized saddlebags installed.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:. To each, his/her own.

My question is are they going to compensate Corbin for his saddlebags (look just like his).

Any new model introduced will usually have cosmetic changes or new accessories a year or so later. The F3 is no exception.

Here, I find the F3 new options to be way more than what BRP seems to have done in previous years with the GS/RS, the RT, or the ST.

It looks like they are trying very hard to go for a different market than previous.

I bought a first year 2014 RT triple and have been very pleased with it. Color changes and minor refinements only for 2015, seems just like a new color (blue) for the 2016 version.

Some of us were speculating that it was time for a new front end and rear end on the RT--but it has not happened. It was mentioned in another thread, like the Goldwing--they are getting the RT perfected. Expect very little change on that model each year for a while.

Buying first year and finding major changes the next year, is one of the hazards of getting the "latest and greatest."

For me in 2015 the jury was still out on the F3 concept. I adopted a wait and see. I am personally liking the possibilities with the changes appearing for the 2016 version. Am guessing that 2017 will be the "slow down" year for the F3.

I'm completely new to the Spyder's and just ordered 2 16 F3 S's(Triple Black) For me it really was about the concept of riding in the bike vs on the bike and from there the options that best fit our needs. Granted, I haven't ridden on other models to fully understand the "in vs on" but when I made the decision to purchase, that was the primary factor. I have to believe that the popularity of the F3 is largely due to this plus the larger engine. Seeing this, the logical next step was to add enough cruising accessories/options/models to those that really want something they ride IN. Amazingly they did that at the end of the first year of a completely new model which is no small feat. There are some things that kind of boggle my mind a little on little things like a USB adapter/glove box on the Limited vs the Standard F3 but I suspect we'll see some pretty cool things coming in the next few years as they hit the jackpot with the F3. I showed my wife how low that seating was and she immediately wanted to get her license and have her own. Just that alone is worth enough for me as it's something we can really enjoy as a couple.

I think you are going to be very happy. Recommend never looking back once the deed is done.:yes:

I gotta tell ya. I researched the heck out of these and the one consistent thing I found everywhere, from long time owners to the first time die hard motorcycle guys doing their demo rides all over youtube, EVERYONE said they are a heck of a lot of fun. I am super excited and it's pretty cool to see the wife get that grin on her face when she thinks about it. Funny story, she told me she initially wanted a white one. Then she saw the Triple Black and said that it was awesome. I went ahead and ordered two without telling her. You should have seen the excitement on her face after I told her they were ordered! Priceless!

If you are an RT owner or fan you will love what they are doing with the F3. But as a F3 owner, not a fan. I was hoping that any changes would be an even more aggressive styling. Meaner, darker. But it looks like they are turning it into another couch with wheels like the RT.

F3 triple black--seems a bit dark and mean to me.

Adding a radio, a pair of saddlebags, cruise control, heated grips, and a lower reach cruiser seat--does not a couch make. IMO of course.

I live in Bridgeport California Right across the street from the Shell station [Main gas stop in town]
Hwy. 395 is the main route on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountains
We have bikers in the Shell station all day long
That said most are Harley riders
90% are baggers [hard and soft bags]and about 40% have a rear top trunk or bag
seems BRP has done their homework on what die hard cruiser riders want

:agree: BRP is watching the streets...

...And they're seeing BAGGERS!! :yikes: :joke:

This actually looks like the natural way to expand further into the market for them.

Different strokes for different folks.

Don't think the F3 took off like they expected. still plenty to be had and available.

But listened to what people wanted and went for it

Personally i like the plain F3S .put a winshield on it set of leather saddlebags ( that i can remove)

Rider and passenger backrest i'm good to go:yes:

I have always been one to stay far away from first-model-year anything, due to typically not being able to get a discount; poor aftermarket support; various bugs not having been worked out yet, etc. I usually wait until something has been in production for at least 3 years, then I feel ok buying it.

When the F3 came out, I really loved it but was very hesitant to go for it because of my first-year rule. But in the end I went for it and absolutely no regrets. Mine is a very low number VIN, one of the first ones made so I felt like it was a real gamble but so far it's been absolutely fantastic (knock on wood!).

I am glad I went for the white S, and I am glad that BRP dropped the "red" frame in the new one because now I feel like mine is one of the extra special ones ;)

I like the fact that they've added the funky low long ones with built in storage; I'll stick with mine though, I like it that much more :). I do wish they made a trailer hitch for it but I've ridden without one for 20 years prior to this, made a 2400 mile trip without one so I figure I'll survive without one until someone comes up with one!

I think FencePost has a guy working on a design for a trailer hitch for the 2015.

changes

one thing I noticed from the photos on line the f3-t with the hitch the swing arm is the same old one from the rt not the new style the F-3 has
