• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RTS shifting issues

If they overnighted your parts then everyone would expect this

My RSS was just in the shop for 5 weeks, It drove me crazy... but the cost of overnighting everyone's parts would be astronomical.

Sounds like BRP is just like Victory and a few other cycle company's got your money and now they don't give a s###, spent all that money, and the company does not care enough about their new customer to over night a part to get you back on the road, its a good thing your not a 1000 miles from home on a vacation that you just started, I have 1200 miles on my new 2015 RT, this scares the hell out of me, I have a trip planed in May for 3 weeks, hope this doesn't happen to me, I can see now that BRP will not be helpful. rant over.:banghead:
I don't know of any company that is going to overnight parts for warranty repairs at their expense. However, most other manufacturers are larger and stock more or have a better parts network. Like I said, I was happy to be given an option to pitch in a bit to get thing rolling faster.
Keep your head up, BRP isn't Ford, GM, Honda, or Toyota where there is a dealer on every corner.

So the dealer has had my bike for about a week and in working with BRP has been instructed that the solution is to change out a hydraulic pump. Being told the part is around $2,000 and allows the tech 4 hours (he's thinking it will take 6 to do the job) and it will all be covered by warranty as it should. I called BRP after being told it will be up to a week bf they will even have the part to ask that since it only has 900 miles on it I would like them to have the part overnighted. Their response is that I could pay to have it sent faster. I'm not going to lie, this pisses me off a lot. Not only is someone about to open up my brand new machine, but I also get to not have access to the bike for what's looking like 3 weeks......if all goes well with the repair. Asking the company to eat an overnight charge to get me back on the road asap after spending over $30k (bike and trailer) doesn't seem like I'm asking a whole lot. The fact that this is happening this early on is making me concerned that the purchase may not have been a good choice.

I called the customer service number provided by the dealer 1 (888) 272-9222 and got the response I explained above. Anyone have any other ways to talk to someone that may help me out with getting this resolved. The dealership already told me that BRP automatically denies any request they put through for overnight at the company's cost.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for complaining but this is not supposed to be part of the experience I was signing up for.

Might want to see if, Kirby Mullin, with Seminole Power Sports can put some grease in the squeaky wheel. If he can't, then I don't think anyone can.

Thanks for all the thoughts/comments guys. It will be fine and I will be back on it before I know it. I'm sure all machines made are going to have one off issues as nothing is perfect. It was in the upper 70's with blue sky's here yesterday and was killing me every time I heard a bike ride by. I'm thinking I'm lucky to be somewhere I can ride year round.

I did wake up on the right side of the dirt again today and it sounds like I should have it back before next weekend. Hopefully I don't have to use the warranty again. Take care everyone!

Three weeks later, a hydraulic housing assembly replaced and all seems good so far :ohyea: I ran it through its paces on the way home and no signs of problems yet. Just wanted to follow through in case anyone else experiences the same. All I know is that I will be riding again this weekend:thumbup:
