• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone run into a blacked out center cluster gage. My went out yesterday while listening to the radio. About 45 minutes into the ride. Lots of static on the electrical systems, radio head sets etc. Got shut down and walked away. Came back turned on the key and the display was back. Did not try any audio checks at this time. 2015 RTL 24k on it. Gas and fuel gages work fine, RPM fine ,Speed fine, all ok.

:sour:Gremlin:dontknow:¿ glad all came back & working:clap:. You don't mention a recent wash or anything that may have fluid wher it does not belong, but just good idea to go ahead & check all your fuses & seals accordingly. See if any codes are present if you can. A casual friendly visit to dealer may provide more insight if you like. (I try to keep friendly with mine, helps keep from digging in my pockets)

Was the bright sun shining directly on it? I've seen the gauge go dark from sunshine but never while riding, only when parked.

All of the above....

:agree: if any recent work was done good thing to backtrack all the connections etc. The sun and heat is one I have seen and on the early GS/RS you can drop the safty card over the cluster when the sun is to your back...not sure on the other models...

Sunshine !!

Ditto on the sunshine.
Mines blacked out twice when the screen was in constant sun for an hour or so.

My Spyder (same year & model) did that once also. It was never explained and never happened again. Not after a rain or any changes to the bike. I just had to let it go.
