• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT Limited - where to get a gas strut for trunk lid?

I need to replace the gas shock that holds the truck lid open. Any suggestions on where to get one?

Check my album for pics of how I solved this issue ... permanently .... it also gives much better access to every thing under the seat ...... Mike

I wonder if you want to add a second strut to support my bag rack and small bag and you used the Amazon listed above would you need to replace the Oem with 2 of these? I am guessing both shocks need to match. So either both Oem or both Amazon. Am I correct in this assumption?

I'm sorry -how do I get to ur album? Never mind found it ...what I didn't find is how to delete this question

Sorry, but you can't! Too many posters making too many deletions was harming the Forum's standing with all the search engines like google, bing etc, so they were dropping us from their results listings - and if the Forum doesn't get hits, it gets more expensive to operate & less useful to run, threatening its viabiity.....

Similarly, too many edits after posting that go on to 'empty' or substantially change the content of a post that's been up for a while can also damage the Forum's standing with those search engines, so please, don't do that either! Once you've posted, please leave it up & substantally the same; no one important will think any the less of you for asking a question, cos we all know that the only silly question is the question you might have but don't ask! :banghead:

Besides, your description of how to find Mike's album might be exactly what some others wanted to ask, but they weren't brave enough, or maybe just not able to ask at the time - and the answer you found to that question might be easier for some readers to understand than anything I or others could put up, because we don't know why/how you resolved it by yourself.... :dontknow: So please, leave your post above as is, and possibly more importantly, please do go ahead & tell anyone else who might want to know how you found that album. :ohyea:
