2015 RT Limited constantly bleeding off air and pumping it up again

Hi,

I have a 2015 RT Limited. I am wondering what may be causing the following issue with the rear air suspension:

On a regular basis (every few minutes) I can hear the bike bleeding off air and then immediately pumping it up again. Is it normal to be continuously adjusting itself like that.

Also, occasionally , it bleeds air, pumps up, bleeds air, pumps up non stop. Just like a yoyo. This has occurred 3 times so far.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike L

I think I recall that there is a link from the swing arm to the ride height control valve. Take a look underneath to confirm that it's properly connected. I'm sure others that know more about this system will be along with more info.

THATS THE WAY THEY WORK

THATS THE WAY THEY WORK! I'VE HAD TWO RTs ONE A 2010 AND NOW A 2015. WHENEVER I COME A STOP IN HEAR THEM RELEASE AND BUILD AGAIN

My 2015 RTL does the same thing. It seams that the act of braking will cause the back of the bike to raise or lower, more of a change the harder you brake, so the air is adjusted while you set there. Then when you start moving again it will readjust to the normal level.

Whenever my wife gets off when we get fuel and I start the bike waiting for her to get on it readjusts by letting air out, then when she gets on it adds air.

I have never had mine act like a yoyo though. Wouldn't hurt to have the ride height sensor checked.

Just to clarify, when it bleeds the compressor kicks in instantly. No change in load.

I'm also curious as to why it sometimes goes into and endless loop of bleed/fill... When it occurs, it does it until I turn the ignition switch off.
