• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT Cruise Control Failure

Had the bike in the shop today for the Cruise Control not working. Checks with the computer diagnostics showed not issue. Problem was chased down to the third brake light which has been installed since it was new. Anyone else had this issue.

Which third brake light do you have and do you have the run/brake module? I know of a few cases on 15’s where the Custom Dynamics High Mount Brake light wth the run/brake feature caused odd errors to come up. Removing the run/brake module and using the light as a brake lght only cured the problem.

Edit: Custom Dynamics calls it a Dual Converter ‘to convert to a dual function run and brake light’

When I first got my 2014 RT, the cruise control would go out everytime that I took it in for service. It would seem to stop working every time they put it on the BUDS system. But after about 500 miles, it would start to work again. This happened for the first 3 services that I had done, and never gave a problem afterwards. Never did know the reason.

Sometimes an aftermarket run/brake light will bleed voltage back through the brake circuit and make the cruise control think the brake is applied. I had this happen on a bike and installed a diode to cure the problem. The diode only allows electricity to flow in one direction.
