• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the word on Cannonball Seats? Are they considered a good investment
for comfortable long rides and overall quality? My pea brain needs input from
you experienced people!

Thanks in advance!!!!

They were a little better than stock for me, Dray, but only gave me about 60 minutes before squirming set in.....The stock seat gave me about 30 minutes. I am now getting a Daylong which I should have done from the start. The trouble is though, that EVERYONE is different, and what works for one, won't for another. I'm 6'7" and 300lbs, so my experience would be different from someone of a smaller size.

You are gonna love the Day Long. Just did a 5000 mile ride from Northern California to Springfield, MO and then on to St. George, UT then back to Northern California. No more achy legs. Great folks to work with also.

Yeah....it'll be my 4th, Hawkiii......even though they end up costing about $2500au by the time you get them out here, they are worth every penny.

Seats are a very personal item. One persons "best" can be another's "worst."

Pretty much across the board, the OEM version is not a good seat. My complaint for :ani29: has always been to mushy. The squirming usually begins to set in at thirty minutes or so for me. Add back and hip issues and you have a recipe for change out time.

Speaking of :spyder2::ani29: in general. I have changed out all five seats on the ones that I have owned. I have used Corbins and BRP Comfort for the :ani29::spyder2: in particular. Corbins are "hard," and you either like them or hate them. The BRP Comfort is a lower price option (compared to other brands) and they really do work pretty good. That is our current change out solution.

On other motorcycles, my favorite was the Mustang brand.

In line with what AK says above, if you were considering an aftermarket, I believe the Mustang would be a better bet than the Cannonball.

If have not used one one on the F3, but they have worked well for me in the past, although not quite as well as the Russell.

I simply can't understand though, why those who want all day comfort and live in the US where shipping is minimal and the exchange rate won't kill you, don't use Russell (apart from aesthetics, of course). If you get your Russell fitted and it doesn't provide all day comfort, you send it back to them and they'll fix it so it does. There is NO hit and miss like there is buying off the shelf seats......even the good ones.
