• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 F3S backup light

Thinking that the more light the better, I am looking at replacing the backup bulb
with a red led and connecting it up to the Gearbrake module. Problem being that
I cannot determine what the real world part number of the original backup bulb is
so that I can do a cross reference to LED's.

Any help, experience or opinions here would be greatly appreciated!!

Really...

I would worry about the forward lighting. On the RS backing up turns on the 4 way but how much backing up do you do without looking. There are those that back up without looking and they need the backup beeper as well....:roflblack: but if they are bulbs they would be 1156 or 1157 but the best is to remove one and take it to the store with you...

F3S backup light

If I can find a bright red replacement bulb I would use it as a brake light.
Hooked into the GearBrake module it would light up everytime I
slowed down or the scoot downshifted and blink rapidly until I hit the brake
and then go solid red until I got off the brake. Tried the auto parts route and
they did not have a glimmer of the type of bulb I have. The bulb is a long slender
style and is not a 1157 or 1156. I always look where I am backing and never think
of using the backup light.

It should be marked on the base of the bulb. Use gloves are something to protect it from the oil on your fingers when you remove/install....
