• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 F3-S jerking while riding

Had a similar experience with my 2015 F3s just a few weeks ago. Was just about to get on the interstate and what the hell, the bike began to jerk, backfire and had to keep the throttle moving so it wouldn't die on the way back home. I had only gone 1.5 miles when this happened. No previous indication of any rough idle or turning off on it's own. Service was due at 28K and the bike has 30K so wasn't too far out past the required service. First thing came to mind was to change the fuel filter. No difference, so next was the spark plugs, which is a lot of stuff to remove, tagged, labeled and bagged, so while in there I replaced the plugs from BajaRon, coils, the evap pre-filter along with cleaning and re-oiling the K&N air filter. NOW, THE MAIN REASON I HAD FOR THE JERKING, BACKFIRING AND HAVING DIFFICULTY IN KEEPING IT RUNNING AT IDLE WAS - - - - a FINGERTIGHT SPARK PLUG. It happened to my neighbor when his 2015 F3 had less than 2K miles on it. Runs like new again.

Simply to clarify, OP says 2015 F3 with a 1330 powerplant, so no spark plug wires. COP style ignition.

Had that style coil set up in a pickup once, and there was a replaceable wire in the boot. Didn't know if that was the same!!:dontknow: New technology, sometimes a PITA, for a dumb welder!!:2thumbs:

What's up with the 2015 F3 1330cc spark plugs?

jpbohmann -- 2015 F3-S 8K miles -- running on 2 cylinders; replaced spark plugs

juscuz -- 2015 F3-S 30K miles -- loose plug; replaced spark plugs and coils (also cleaned and re-oiled K&N air filter)

juscuz neighbor -- 2015 F3 2K miles -- unknown cause; replaced spark plugs

I picked it up and he said one of the plugs was bad and we didn't get into too much details with me about it. I questioned what I could be doing wrong, too high of RPM, gas, etc...? I don't know enough so I asked.
He told me nothing, one was just bad. He gave me the 3 bad ones in a bag.
RPM is steady and she is running great.
I bought it in 2022 with 1000 miles on it. Does sitting for years not being run do that? I ride normal, I don't run the RPMS too high or too low. I don't know ----- what I do know is it is riding VERY nice and enjoyed my ride into work today.

If you want to check his work or for future reference, here's how:
