• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 vs 2015?

In shopping around for a Spyder RT-S, I'm finding a lot of brand new 2014s that are still on showroom floors around the country. The price is considerably less that what I'm seeing for the 2015s. What are the major differences between the 2014s and the 2015s? Am I missing any features by buying a 2014?

Thanks

Pam

The only noticeable change is color availability. If you like a particular color in a 2014 model, you will save money by purchasing the 2014.

As I see it..!!

The color choices and the price..any other feature can be added at way less than the difference in price...

Well, that was a myth. Cycle Trader has 2014 Spyders listed at dealers all over the country, but when I call them I get, "Oh we sold all our 2014s, but we have this.................." Can you say 'bait and switch'?

So I'm back to the 2015s. I guess I'll get that Red Pearl that Cruzr Joe and Ex-Rocket say are faster than all the others :ohyea:

Team CC in Eagle River AK has a Cognac SE6 2014 LTD on the floor. A nice fly and drive away.

Fly in and ride home is going to depend on when or if I sell my Vision. If I don't find a buyer, it's going to be "ride in, trade, and ride home". That's why I've been looking within a 1,000 mile radius of Phoenix.

Go to www.ksl.com and post your Vision. KSL is a TV/Radio media center out of Salt Lake City that also hosts a free online classified BB.You can put your bike on there for no charge and post lots of pictures. Its not that far a drive from SLC down and a great ride for somebody back.

15 Limited models come with the new Garmin 590 with a USB cable so you can charge a phone.

I added the Zumo 590 when I bought my '14 RT-S last fall. Had to wait seven months because of the B/O status of the Zumo mount for the Tri-Axis bars. I have my iPhone in the trunk connected to the 30-pin power outlet via an Apple adapter cable (6"). The phone is paired to the GPS so I use the full phone app of the Zumo and phone is always fully charged.
