• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 ST-S Trailer Hitch Questions

New to the group wondering if anyone pulls a trailer behind their ST, also what hitch and wiring harness did you use. Thanks much for your input.

I went with the BRP hitch

I looked at the aftermarket hitch and wiring adapters but in the end I went with the BRP hitch. Totaling up the price for the hitch, wiring and mud flap the price was within $100 dollars of the factory hitch. The BRP hitch for the ST also comes with a different tail light to move it up so it can be seen over the hitch. Something I did not find in the aftermarket. That is why the ST hitch is $50 more than the RT hitch.
We have an ST-Limited and I put together a trailer from Harbor Freight adapting a cargo box mounted to Thule roof rack system I have had for over twenty years. Kind of a run with what you have sort of thing. Our first long trip with the trailer was to Spyderfest and it worked perfectly. Both the trailer and the bike.
If you are installing it yourself take your time. The instructions say it is about an hour and that may be if you have done a dozen installs before. I spent an extra couple of hours trying to get the lights to work only to figure out that I had overlooked the simplest thing. The fuse for the trailer circuit was not installed in the fuse box because the bike didn't come with the hitch. Put in a 10 amp fuse and everything worked.
